Rider Alert - Stolen Marin Bikes - Kelowna, BC, Canada

Posted: Oct 5, 2009

Two grey ano Marin Quakes stolen from Kelowna, BC Canada - reward on offer for safe return

It breaks our heart to hear about bikes being stolen from our bro’s. More to the point, and to add insult to injury, when the bro’s concerned are hard riding, all round good guys and hardworking trailbuilders to boot, it’s a double slap in the face. These guys are the heart and soul of our local mountain biking community.

Check out the photo’s below, these guys can certainly ride. Here’s the low down from Jack and Jeff, all we ask is that you remember what the bikes look like, spread the word, and keep your eyes peeled. These aren’t your everyday bike and there’s barely a handful of them in Kelowna.

“Two bikes stolen outside McCullough pub, South East Kelowna, on Friday 2nd October between 10pm and midnight. Two Marin Quakes, grey anodized frame, one with 66’s one with Totems. They were locked up in the back of a pickup truck right outside the doors. They took two and left one, so we’re guessing there were two people that took them. There will be a reward for these bikes. They are basically the same. SRAM builds, Rocco rear shocks, MRP chain guides, aside from the forks, pretty much the same. One of them had pink camo front MTX wheels with a black Mavic 325 in the back. Other noticeable parts: Red Sunline wide handlebars, white Syncros handlebar, Avid Code 5 brake with white Straitline levers, red Straitline pedals.”

Any type of help would be hugely appreciated. Please make contact personally or via Venture Gear with any information.
